Feedback

I have dedicated this page to all those cat lovers who I have come into contact with, and who I hope I have helped to adopt a kitten, either one of mine or from a referral. Through those kittens I make some lovely new friends. Some of you have been kind enough to contribute a few lines and some photos of those kittens as they have grown into cats. Most of you are really good at keeping me updated with their progress, even if it is just a note at Xmas, and for this I would like to thank you. If you have not yet contributed to this page and would like to share your experience in adopting one of my kittens, or, would like to update the picture gallery, please email me. Many thanks, Julie

Tonkyway Ipil (now Seth) dob 27th March 2017

3 weeks after collecting him from you, Seth is very well settled in and has been very best friends with Nubi from about 12 hours after his arrival! The pair of them tear around the house and are such a joy to watch playing. He has also bonded very well with puppy who arrived a week later, so much so that Seth tries to steal the pups food given the chance! They also play very well and it was so nice to see them run to each other the other day after the pup had been out with us in the car.

Photo attached of the three cats, left to right; Nubi, Seth and the old lady Isis who plays Mom to them both.

Thank you so much for raising such a wonderful little lad and also for allowing us to become his parents.

Sialaxy Bellatrix (Bella) dob 3 Jan 2012

Bella is just amazing: bolshie, controlling, playful, loving and oh so Siamese. We adore her. She runs rings round Jeff, quite literally after she's been reasoned with and then ejected from his chair; before he's straightened up she's back in it. On times if she sees him heading for it she'll race him. We bought her one of those 5ft long tubes with a couple of head holes along the side and, especially if she's got an earplug, she'll play alone for ages (she still drops the plugs at my feet so we can play retrieve). Until the last few weeks she and Psipsina have been playing together in the tube, as well as other places together. They are devoted and, except in the winter when the central heating is on and Bella takes to the sling on the radiator, they sleep together on the work top, on a chair, in a box, under the mat, wherever takes their fancy that night. And they have always spent time chasing each other and kicking hell out of tummies. Psipsina has been like a kitten with her.

Tonkyway Kaloni (now Tinkerbell) dob 16 April 2017

All is going really well. 'Tink' is absolutely gorgeous - and so dainty! Just exquisite. Of course her looks are the only delicate thing about her! She's eating everything with great gusto, pooing prodigiously (but always in the right place), thundering around the house playing and disembowelling her toys. She's having lots of cuddles, and has a great big purr like a vintage tractor!

She has now made friends with Njm (she stopped being nervous of him before he stopped being scared of her!) and they are now playing together. Last night they snuggled up to sleep together for the first time, on the bed with me.

Photos attached! I'll send some better ones when I get a chance.

He is such a wonderful boy, with the most amazing personality. He is incredibly loving, confident, friendly and talkative! And of course he is incredibly handsome!!!

Tonkyway Orion & Tonkway Kuma dob 10 November 2010 (Brothers to Gr.Ch. Tonkyway Burnsville Carina.

Hoping this finds you well.

I thought you might like to hear about two of your Tonkinese kittens born 10th November 2010. Apollo, brown (formerly Kuma), and Orion, blue, are now approaching seventh birthday. Both are healthy, extremely active and enjoying life.

Apollo spends more time in the house, but is a prolific hunter, supplementing the food we give him with up to four mice each day. He loves patrolling the garden and surrounding fields. All the neighbours know him very well. He is a very affectionate and vocal member of the family, (he can meow like Led Zeppelin when he thinks he is being ignored), always wanting to be part of whatever is going on. His enduring frustration is his inability to teach me how to hunt. He keeps pestering me to go down the garden and into the woods with him and then can't quite believe how rubbish I am at following through gaps in hedges. We had the builders in and they were amused to find him watching carefully when they were excavating with the digger. They were even more amused during a tea break to see him jump up into the cab, sit on the operator's seat and reach up for the controls with his paws. He did the same when they came round with a bulldozer. I'm not quite sure what might have happened if he'd found a little more strength in his front legs. He also likes to watch the television with us, sometimes attacks the screen and tries to chase moving objects around the back.

Orion is much more independent. He goes off for several days at a time, possibly because one house isn't big enough for two male cats and Apollo is the boss. He always comes back to us though, and is very affectionate. He seems to have taken ownership of the entire village and beyond, having been seen hunting up to a mile away. We fitted him with a GPS tracker and he likes to hunt in several patches of woodland. We have made friends with a family with whom he spends quite a lot of time after they took him to the vet to get him scanned, thinking he was a stray, possibly because they have a garage with a sofa and a log burner in the winter. He eats mice when he has to, crunching them down in less than 15 seconds. He also catches moles, weasels, squirrels and once brought in a rabbit as big as himself and proceeded to eat the entire thing, just leaving the back paws on the doormat. Quite where he put it remains a mystery.

Thought you might like to see how my kitten's doing. He continues to be a delightful companion for both me and my other animals - very affectionate, confident, funny and playful, and of course very beautiful. The last picture taken a week or so ago shows the result of me thoughtlessly buying a new bed for the dog, the other two were taken this afternoon.

SIALAXY SUISEI dob 19 June 2014

Hi Julie, I thought I'd share a couple of recent photos I took of Suisei. She is so beautiful and settled in to her own routine now ie we are constantly at her service!! Over the last few months she has become very vocal and talks to us (in siamese, of course)... We are amazed at the large vocabulary she has in order to get everything she wants!! Anyway, just in case you wanted to put some of our pics on the website I've included 2, which shows her potential as a model we think! She is fully grown now,I suppose and she is still petite and that makes her even cuter. Hope you like the pics, hugs and purs, julie and baz xx

SIALAXY JOMEI (now Laity) & SIALAXY TRITON (now Logan) dob 1 Sept 2016

I have been chasing them round and round for several weeks to get a picture for you that shows them both to you together in all their splendour, but this is the best I can do.

They are absolutely fine, extremely fit and lively, eating still like suction pumps at every opportunity, loving their raw food, teething at the moment, and growing all the time. Logan is still at least 1 and a half times Laity's size. They stick together almost all the time, but perceptible differences in character. Logan is less impulsive, will quietly sit and wait for his opportunity for a lovely one on one cuddle, Laity pushes to the front shouting, presumably, Me Me, and demanding instant attention. But they are both very affectionate, and sleep together all the time, often at night on top of my chest, which will probably stop when the nights get warmer!

Next week they go to be neutered and then when the weather improves I shall open the door into the garden when I am working near the house, and so it begins, lets hope, a long hot cat-friendly summer.

Do hope all goes better with you and you are beginning to see the first stirrings of spring. I was at East Lambrook yesterday and thought of you up in the hills with all your lovely cats and kittens. Will send better pictures when I get them.

Very best wishes as ever

SIALAXY ORION dob 03/10/16

As you can see from the attached picture Orion has settled in very well especially with our Girl Zena who he is curled up with on the picture (on our bed of course!!). He was very nervous when we brought him home as you said he would be and it was nearly 12 hours before he would come out of the carrier that we brought him home in but by the end of the next day he was coming out for cuddles when we came in to his little room. Within a couple of days he was quite happy in his little room, in fact he would cry to us to come in and play with him. We introduced him to our other 2 cats over the next couple of days which went very well, he is now best buddies with Zena and they play together most of the day causing havoc chasing around the house after each other. Hercules our old boy (he is 16 this may) is a slightly different proposition, he is the dominant male and lets Orion know if his space is invaded but will play for a short time on his own terms.

I will keep you updated with Orions progress as he grows up, in the meantime thank you very much for all the help and advise you gave us when we collected Orion is was all very useful but most of all thank you very much for letting us have such a beautiful loving well balanced little kitten. I am sure he will bring us a lot of joy for many years to come.

SIALAXY BRIGHTSTAR (now Itachi) & SIALAXY STARDUST (now Kira) dob 22/05/16

Kira and I were just sitting and working by the computer while Itachi is having a nap and thought we would let you know what we have been up to.

Itachi and Kira have both had their ops and recovered without any problems. Their personalities have really started to come out, Itachi likes to act tough and dominant but in reality he's just a little softie who loves games and fusses while Kira is in charge of everything, including him. She is very independent and does things on her own terms. Itachi, as most boys, loves watching football on TV and chasing the ball. Usually we end up watching him instead of the game, lol. Kira is a little daredevil and sticks her little nose in everywhere. Nothing scares her, just the other week I went to investigate a strange sound that turned out to be little madam happily balancing on the upper stair rail. She's also quite the supermodel, every picture I have ever taken of her is a new pose and she gets more beautiful with each passing day, just like Darkstar.

They are both very talkative and tell us many important things, like what they wanted for Christmas: an open bed, which they clearly showed by sitting on top of their houses and squishing them into a bed so they could monitor everything. Their favourite game is playing fetch with their mouse toy, it's even gone as far as them bringing it to us so we can throw it. They have also taught us how to play a combination of tag and hide and seek and if we win we get to shower them with fusses and kisses. Then we let them go and it starts over. When it's sleep time they go into their little "cave" which consist of my knees holding up the duvet. It's such a joy having them around and we can't imagine a time when they weren't in our lives.

Hope you had a nice Christmas and New Year and give Darkstar a big cuddle from Itachi and Kira!

SIALAXY AKIHITO (Percy) & SIALAXY MIHARU (Perilla) dob 1 Sept 2016

Percy and Perilla were neutered on 3rd January. You would never know anything had happened to them unless you look closely. They came home from the vets in the evening and ran around like mad things. I don't think they were very impressed with being in a cage all day. Perilla has a very neat midline scar on her tummy with no stitches as they did them all internally. The vet said she was very friendly and relaxed during her stay with them but Percy was more stand-offish. Percy has two tiny scars which are healing fast.

They are eating lots and growing fast and they are now well integrated with the others although they occasionally are hissed at when they get too boisterous and overstep the mark.

Tonkyway Sheraton (Bolt) & Tonkyway Aldebaran (Buzz) dob 13/01/13

Christina here, owner of Buzz and Bolt who were 4 years old this week. They are both well and causing terror in every mouse in Somerset. They are very different personalities: Bolt is loud, demanding, very funny, quite annoying (paces and shouts a lot), bold and super affectionate, also super greedy and lies around at home all day. Buzz is our big hunter. He is quiet, gentle and a little timid. He will run away and hide if someone comes to the house and will fight to get away if you try to cuddle him. However, he has fits of mad passion when he is all over you for a kneed and a lots of loving. Can't believe they are brothers. Bolt is our bird catcher (enormous crow in the kitchen last week). Buzz delights us with a rat for breakfast! Buzz has never caught a bird... And Bolt won't go near a rat.

The cats have just had their annual check up and our vet is so happy with Tesla's progress and confirms my slightly based opinion that they are the most gorgeous cats with the loveliest temperament.

I wanted to share this picture with you because it is only the second time I've managed to get them both in one shot and neither of them are blurred! They both have the same listening ear out but you can't be choosy on these kind of details when you have such energetic cats!

Happy new year

Hope you are well. Thought I would give you a quick update on the boys.

Milo (abalendu) and Monty(kalypso) are now one and as you can see from the attached photo are best of friends with our old girl Cassie. Although they are both bigger than her, she is the boss, but she is happy to give them a wash and they love it. They get on very well as two boys and continue to give us many hours of entertainment. They are extremely affectionate and most evenings I get 3 cats trying to get on my knee unless the fire is lit when they form their cat triangle!

SIALAXY CYMBALINE (Neko) dob 24 Feb 16 & SIALAXY STARLIT (Lily) dob 22 May 16.

The Watcher & The Delinquent

A few pics of Neko, the Watcher - it takes a while for him to get spurred into action and usually just sits and watches life go by, apart from when in hunting mode - he brought in a live baby rat the other evening! That was fun! He loves the garden. Also pees in the flower tub, lol! He is lovely and big and sturdy, and doesn't mind if I stroke his tummy when he is rolling around on his back. He seems to have taken to my hubby - or at least, his moccasins, as he is often to be seen rubbing his face on them! He is a quirky little character - still won't be seen to be having a fuss if the others are around, but get him on his own and he's all for it!

And Lily - she is a real livewire and has fulfilled all my expectations in character, looks, personality and more. She is a complete delinquent, just like all my others have been! That's her up the tree, sitting on the gate to the top garden, and in the box! She has mesmerising eyes, I feel them on me and turn round and she is staring straight into mine. If she wants a game or a cuddle, she sits and just stares at me and tells me by telepathy! Well, it certainly seems like that, anyway! She loves a cuddle too, which is lovely. Her coat is so soft and she feels quite weighty now, although she can be a fussy eater. She prefers dried food, I think. Neko eats anything!

We have decided that a Christmas tree is probably a no-no this year, with Lily's obsession with climbing trees!

May 2017
Neeks spends his time hunting, and he has taught Lily to do it too. EVERY day I have to rescue and remove either a slow worm or a live or dead shrew (large or small), and sometimes it's both, or several of one or the other! Nothing more disconcerting than stepping on a slow worm that has been frightened under the kitchen rug. But I am used to the little shrews scurrying over my feet and under my desk - I keep a plastic box to scoop the little critters up in, and put them out the front where the cats can't go so at least they stand a better chance of survival! Half of the wildlife from my back garden now lives in the front one!
Neko is still very aloof and not keen to be picked up or smoothed too much, though he does allow me to rub his lovely furry tum. The vet says he is in tip top condition so I'm very pleased. He weighed in at 4.23 kg. They both eat all sorts of cat food with no problem.
Lily makes a lot of eye contact with me - and she loves a fuss, and cuddles. Dead opposite from Neko as she is not shy about it! As you can see, Lily is just beautiful. Their voices are getting a bit louder and stronger now at last! Neko can be on the nervy side - runs when the doorbell goes, like Claude does, but Lily is pretty bomb proof - not much phases her.
When I call Clover to come and get her eye drops done, several times a day, Lily rushes up and sits alongside, waiting for half of one of Clover's yogurt drops (that I give her as a reward for having her eyes done) Lily thinks she deserves one too! After breakfast, Clover has a crunchy dried fish cube - Lily hangs around under Clover's chin waiting for little crumbs to fall to the floor - I've started letting her have a tiny piece of her own on some days. I am sure Lily thinks she is a dog! She is just so full of character.
Anyway, I could go on all night about the pair of them, but I'll stop now as I am sure you are busy with the new generations.
Give Darkstar a lovely big smoothie from me and tell her what a clever girl she is for producing such a special daughter!

TONKYWAY SIMIN (now Otis) & TONKYWAY XIA dob 15 June 2016

Just thought I'd send you a little update of how the kittens are doing!

They are growing at quite a rate now, especially Simin who is a big boy! I can hardly believe he will get any bigger but of course he will. Xia has totally come around to us now and is as much of a lap cat as her brother. She loves fuss and cuddles, even with the children! They are both fed a mix of Royal Canin kibble and Purrform raw food which they just love but costs me a small fortune! They are worth it though. They also seem to love drinking water more than any cat I've known, I am constantly refreshing their bowls. Simin went to the vet this month for his little procedure, although you wouldn't have known he had been anywhere he was so manic when he got home. It is Xia's turn next month which I'm more worried about as I've heard the recovery can be harder for the girls.

They both love play-fighting still and also like to play "fetch" by bringing their toys for us to throw for them again. Xia especially likes to be warm and will often climb under the duvet with me at night. She has also worked out that my heated airer is a very good place to curl up on, always on some clean laundry!

They still continue to bring us heaps of happiness and laughter. Tonks really are the perfect family cat. Hope your family and all the cats and kittens are well and you're looking forward to a peaceful Christmas.

Just a quick note to say that we are loving our feline family - Cassie (our brown tonk girl) has finally given up trying to be offended and totally accepted the kittens, they are a really happy family. Both Kenny and Lottie are incredibly sociable and confident kittens with the loudest purrs, and they both share a penchant for having their tummies tickled and rubbed, rolling over to offer their bellies up to us! Fabulous big personalities and they wow everyone who meets them.

Slightly belated but thought I'd just touch base with you as Tesla and Darwin have now just passed their second birthday and we can no longer remember life before them!

They are still very playful and have fixated on favourite toys, Tesla loves tied up plastic bags and Darwin loves anything with feathers (including my fascinator which met a slightly unfortunate end!). They bring us toys to play with even at night and we have woken up on some mornings with two cats and two toys in the bed!

Hard to get them all in the one place, but they're much more peaceable with each other now, playing and eating together. Tonk boy (Rothco) is a gentleman, truly lovely cat. Tonk Girl (Boo [Boudicca]) is a darling, very sweet and non complicated. Siamese (Juno) is still a bit nervy, but loves a fuss and lots of love and is playing well with the others, especially the boy. She is truly beautiful, one of the most beautiful cats I've ever come across. All doing well and putting on lots of weight. They are now starting to realise they have us under their little paws and are starting to control us a bit.

SIALAXY BRIGHTSTAR (now Itachi) Male; SIALAXY STARDUST (now Kira) F dob: 22 May 2016

An update on our gorgeous hyper little troublemakers. Itachi and Kira are both doing very well and are two very confident and VERY curious pussycats. They were very scared when we first brought them home and now they have taken over the house. They have to be everywhere and see and monitor everything otherwise we get told off. Itachi started off very reserved, following Kira around everywhere while Kira was taking full advantage of bossing him around and getting into every nook and cranny, our brave little madam. Now he is bigger than her, tables have turned. He likes to pounce on her and easily wins their daily wrestling matches. He is also a very possessive little snugglemonkey while Kira prefers to be in her house on her own, probably because every time she's having a fuss her big brother decides it's "play time". He's got a lot better lately and realises there are enough fusses to go around. Otherwise they get along very well, love to run around and wrestle and despite the sibling rivalry if they somehow find themselves on opposite sides of a door they will meow until reunited.

We took them to the vets first thing and he said they were "two healthy perfect kittens". Can't do much else other than agree. They have truly enriched our lives.

Thank you for letting us have them!

SIALAXY CYMBALINE (Neko) dob 17 Feb 2016 & SIALAXY STARLIT (Lily) dob 22 May 2016

Julie, I have to say my two kittens from you have been such a pleasure and cheered me up so much when I was feeling very down after losing two of my last three oldies close together at the start of the year, plus getting my rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis around the same time. These two make me smile and laugh every day, even when I hurt or feel under the weather. It is even more wonderful now they play tag with each other. Evenings are absolutely chaotic! I'd forgotten what fun it could be, as my oldies were adult, and then senior, for soooo many years! I am really going to make the most of Neko and Lily, and if I was in a position to have another, I would be putting my name down for a blue point next! :)

Lily is MUCH naughtier and cheekier than Neko, by the way! There was me thinking she would be hard work as she seemed so terrified when we first brought her home. You should see the little imp now! Lol! Just a while ago I found her bum to bum with Clover in Clover's bed!

SIALAXY HELIOS & SIALAXY ELIANNE (Ivy) dob 17 February 2016

Just a little update about Helios and Ivy :)

Both have had their ops and have long recovered, Ivy has a brown smudge on her side where the fur has grown back but I've assured her it will fade out to her beautifully creamy white given time. They ADORE Mac the cavalier and if the door to the sitting room is closed (heavens forbid!) they will cry to be let in so they can get in his kennel with him! Mac thinks it's fantastic that Helios keeps bringing his kitty toys into the kennel :D we only had one or two scratched puppy noses until he learned how to play "properly" but now the pair of them have him well trained. I post their photos regularly to Instagram using the tags #oldstylesiamesecatclub and #sialaxysiamese if you get the chance to check them out.

SIALAXY STARMIST (now Phoebe) dob 22 May 2016

Well….. what can I say. This is the most wonderful little bundle of kitten. She is gorgeous. Adorable. Divine. Delightful. I am totally smitten. And she seems to love me a lot too, which is just what I needed from my cat. Has been 16 years since I last had a kitten around, and 5 since I last had cats living with me. Like living in a drought. I feel “right” again now somehow. I don't think a house can be a home without a pet to share it with. You, most clearly, agree!!!

So thank you for breeding and raising the most wonderful cats. Special. So, so special, what you do, the care and effort and energy you put in, and the kittens you hand on at the end. Thank you.

Update: October
Phoebe…… the most special little cat imaginable. I simply adore her, and she adores me in return. Thank you, thank you, thank you! She has a wonderful temperament, is exceedingly charming, affectionate, chatty, naughty, funny, clever, and mad. Divine. I love her. Mark loves her too. They are great play pals! She follows me around wherever I am, unless she needs an undisturbed sleep, when she finds a comfy place to sleep. She rides on my shoulders and steals my porridge in the mornings given less than half a chance. Couldn't have wished for a more perfect cat. She has brought me great love, joy and laughter. To watch her crazy time is something else. I have got very little work done this past month! She has developed an interesting manic time around our house (there is a complete circuit downstairs if I leave the sitting room door open, and long lengths of shiny flooring) which involves a generally high speed combination of free running, climbing, speed skating and circuit sprint training! She is most definitely getting plenty of exercise indoors! We have spoiled her with a Hicat climbing/sleeping tower in the kitchen and a wonderful floor to ceiling climbing tree from Profeline in Germany in the sitting room. Mark has taken the change in decor remarkably well, especially since he was not fore warned!!! My friends say she is the most spoiled cat they have ever come across, but I say the most loved! And actually, training her she is not allowed on the kitchen work surfaces or dining room table is going as well as can be expected. She is very clever.

Tonkyway Tarika (now Bliss) & Salary Catcha Fallingstar (Blue) dob 22 May 2016

Just writing to let you know how the kittens are getting on. They have been with us for a week now and Catcha-Fallingstar is known as ‘Blue' and Tarika is known as ‘Bliss'.

Well Blue and Bliss have settled in amazingly. They grow in confidence each every day. They are eating well and make great use of all their toys and cat trees, as well as beds, laps and shoulders!! What is really lovely is that they have become very close. They play together all of the time, sleep together and eat together - if one can't see the other, then they call out for each other.

Blue is a very busy boy and is growing bigger every day. Bliss loves cuddles and has taken to sleeping with our daughter Ruby every night. The bother purr like tractors, and are getting on really well with our 3 little dogs! Tonkyway Alshain (now Hank) & Tonkyway Anilam (now Walter) dob 04/12/14

Hope you are well. I have been meaning to write to you for ages now but time has flown by. Just wanted to give you an update on Tonkyway Anilam (Walter - Brown) and Tonkyway Alshain (Hank - Blue CPP) DOB 4/12/14.

They couldn't be more different ?? Hank is very outgoing and likes everybody to think he is in charge! His greeting to any guest is to climb onto their shoulders and Demand attention. Walter has a number of personalities dependant on his mood. He likes to sit back and suss people out (by staring at them intensely!) everyone thinks he is shy and very sweet but we know different. He is definitely the one in charge and bosses his brother around on a daily basis and is always the one getting into mischief. They are so affectionate and always want to cuddle up to us. They keep us entertained everyday with their antics. We love them so much and are so grateful to you for letting us have such amazing cats. One of my clients at work Has a kitten that Chertan sired, he is coming in next week for neutering so I am very excited to meet him. Jordan is currently building a cat run in the garden so I will send you some pics when it is done (this of course has taken priority over all the other diy jobs that need to be done!!)

As you can see the boys are great friends and our old girl Cassie is very happy to join in the cuddles! They are both thriving, Milo (blue boy) still sneezes occasionally but remains well. Monty is a very attractive cat, the photos don't really show it well but he has stripes on his legs and spots on his trunk. Must be inherited from his tabby grandparent.

Both boys were castrated about 2 weeks ago. No problems.

They are providing us with much amusement and pleasure. Thank you.

Sialaxy Tycho (now Zazu) & Sialaxy Eclipse (now Zephyr) dob 4 December 2013

I have been meaning to email you for soooooo long but somehow life got in the way and the boys (or the Zs as they're known) are over 2 years old!

They are a delight. They are super affectionate and playful and are the best of friends. They spend all their time together and sleep curled up round each other ( in one of their many furry nests throughout the house). They love sun bathing in the garden and chasing flies but their only 'kills' are the slowest moving creatures in their territory- slugs!

I have attached a few pics of them at different ages..... Thank you so much for our two splendid, furry kids.

SIALAXY XIAN ASTRINA & SIALAXY LOKI SEREN dob 23 May 2016

Please see attached recent photographs of Loki and Xian, still beautiful and loving each other. We take them away a lot and every time Xian sees a bag she packs herself, whilst Loki stands guard to make sure he is not forgotten. They are both such a joy and training them has been very easy, they jump onto the dresser as soon as I get their leads and harasses out and really explore wherever we go and climbing trees is very easy and fast - one minute on the ground the next up a tree. Fortunately so far they have come down the same way they went up so we have not had to climb up and untangle their leads. Rabbit holes are very exciting but they are not keen on bees having caught one and been severely buzzed they stay well clear. Such wonderful guard cats they take after Xing as they happily growl and fluff up if they do not like someone, the other day they were giving the scaffolders a hard time and it is surprising how scared a grown man can be. On the other hand they are wonderful with children and tolerate quite a bit before they go into hiding.

Loki's favourite place is on the fridge/freezer and he wraps his paws around your wrist when you open the door to check everything going in and coming out. He is always hungry, he does not make normal Siamese noises he kind of gurgles at you and it can get very loud especially when chicken or fish is not cooling quick enough. Xian is just like having a dog, wherever you go she follows and it gets quite tiring for her some days, she then climbs your leg and insists on being carried everywhere. However; she is extra vocal when she wants everyone in the same room she is in.

Absolutely the best buy ever - we adore them - thank you for selecting us to be their companions.

SIALAXY SARGON (now Wilber) & SIALAXY TERUKO (now Fish) dob 16 May 2015

Thought I would update you now my babies are nearly 11 months old. So as you can see they are growing out of at least one their many beds. They are both amazing adorable cats and a credit to you Sargon who I call Wilber is strong and very heavy ,yet no fat on him . He is still the most nervous and always waits for Fish (Teruko) to go first in any new or scary situation but soon gets bold and squatters ..she just whimpers and waits for them to go or be evicted.

I haven't let them out yet as I want to get freedom fence fitted. However the way they charge around the house like stampeding buffalo it will need to be sooner rather than later.

They eat well . Mostly high meat content food and no grains at all They love raw chicken wings and minced rabbit and treats of raw chicken hearts .

Fish is soft and cuddly and adventurous she goes crazy when I brush her with the zoom groom and and gets quite ecstatic . They both pilfer. She with soft toys and he likes pens and lids etc. Wilber is almost aggressive in his demands for strokes and chin rubs! He reminds me of his dad when he rolls over in his bed for a tummy tickle.

Tonkyway Tulay dob 16 Sept 2015

I just wanted to let you know that Tulay has settled beautifully into our home - his new home!

He was as good as gold all the way home in the car, and although I tried to keep him in our little breakfast room he was having none of it! He explored all around our house with confidence before finally collapsing on the sofa to sleep the evening away. Then he was up all night!!

My son and Tulay played all through the night - I don't know who enjoyed it most - tonight I will put my foot down!

Tulay is eating well, using the litter tray and is generally just an all round superstar!

Simba, our big lilac siamese is very interested but just a little hesitant - Tulay on the other hand just can't wait to make friends! I really want to take things slowly with them but they have come face to face a few times so I thought I would just continue with a few minutes together every now and then and see how they behave under supervision - so far so good!

I can't thank you enough for allowing us to have him Julie, we have decided to keep his name the same, he is so full of mischief we just love him already.

SIALAXY SIRRAH (now Xing) dob 1 May 2014 & SALARY SAIPH (now Chaiya) dob 5 May 2014

I thought you might like to know how the two boys are doing. In August they will have been with me two years....how quickly the time passes! I love them to pieces and get so much pleasure from them. Xing is quite a bit longer in the body than Chaiya and both weigh over 10 lbs compared to Skye's 6+ lbs. They love to pounce on Skye when she is sleeping and I am sure they get great amusement when she leaps up, naughty boys.

I finally stopped all Skye's treatments two to three times a week at the vet as it was too stressful for her and I came to the conclusion it was almost cruel and selfish of me to put her through that any longer as I had been doing it for almost two years. My vet advised me to just take her home, give her her meds every day and see what happened. Well that was almost two years ago and my precious girl is still here with me and much happier than she was. I am amazed and delighted at how well she is doing and she will be 15 in May. Every day is a precious gift.

The boys are full of beans and play fetch which amuses everyone greatly. Do they by any chance have a touch of dog in them?? They really are the sweetest creatures and wonderful company for me.

Anyway we are all very happy and all three are incredibly spoiled. It is lovely to see the three of them curled up together and of course they all insist on sleeping in my bed at night.

I hope all is well with you and Easter greetings to you and your family.

SIALAXY KONANE (now Barnaby) dob 14 April 2015

You may not remember us, but we bought one of Mizuki's kittens called Sialaxy Konane, now renamed Barnaby, from you last August and we have been meaning to contact you for ages to let you know how we are all getting on. Firstly, he is the most amazing cat, doing all the things that a Siamese is supposed to do and more, really affectionate, inquisitive, noisy and hilarious. He and our German Shepherd Jezebel have formed a fabulous bond, they roll round the floor together playing and we find Barnaby sleeping in the middle of Jez's bed and Jez on the floor, so no problems whatsoever with him. We love him dearly and would not change him for anything (he is currently trying to sit on my head, purring loudly and looking intently at me).

SIALAXY SAENG-DAO (now Buddy) dob 3 Jan 2012

It is lovely to hear from you. His pet name is Buddy and he doing very well. I remember when we met, I said I would really like a male seal point with a dark coat and he is exactly that and very handsome - as you can see from the attached pictures. He is an absolute delight and we refer to him as the third child! He has a lovely personality and is very friendly although cautious of strangers, particularly young children (but fine with my kids who are 7 & 10 years) - he just prefers adults & I cant blame him! He is an outdoor cat, and loves going outside, and makes a good hunter. If he hasn't been out much during the day, in the evening he likes to expend his excess energy with his own toys and doesn't hesitate to make sure he gets the attention from an adult by biting their ankles (gently though). At night he sleeps in my room by my feet just like a guard dog! He is gentle and likes a cuddle, he particularly likes to sit on my husbands lap in the evenings - I think it is because he is warmer than me. He has been in good health and I haven't had to take him to the vets at all other than for his boosters, and when I do they always comments on how lovely he is and he doesn't make a fuss at all - other than lots of noise! He has a good appetite but does prefer the finer foods and raw meats.

We moved to a house in Wiveliscombe about six months ago and I have been feeling a bit sorry for Buddy because I think he had made some cat friends in our old neighbourhood. I often used to see him outside with another black cat, and I think they were both kittens at the same time and formed a friendship which was so cute. I see that one of my new neighbours has quite a few cats that I think are Persian or Birman. They are quite inquisitive and I hope Buddy gets along with them. So my only regret of getting Buddy, is that I wish I had got 2 kittens so he had a companion. Anyhow, he is stuck with us as somewhat larger companions now!

CH.Tonkyway Janus (now Andrew), dob 2 May 2014

Tonkyway Janus, whom I christened Andrew, is quite frankly one of the most lively, intelligent and affectionate cats I have ever known. He's never happier than when sitting on my knee, or playing with something, or running hell for leather around the house. From the moment he called out to me when I first visited Julie's cattery, I knew he liked me, and wanted to be my cat. And so it has proved. He is a wonderful companion, full of liveliness and enthusiasm, yet happy to sit and sleep at other times. Most of all he is a very demonstrative, friendly, affectionate cat who likes company. I am so lucky to have found him.

Life would not be the same without him. :) he loves cuddles and we take him for walks: he is also incredibly cheeky, plays fetch and enjoys jumping on our shoulders.

Anyway, I hope you like the pictures; we can't believe he's almost 12 months old.

SIALAXY SUISEI (Rehomed as an Adult) dob 19 June 2014

Well what can we say......SuiSei is a delightful little girl ,we are so lucky that she approved of us !!! She initially went into hiding ,which we expected but with some very gentle coaxing gradually came out of her hiding places. We are at the stage where she sleeps in her bed under the TV and every so often goes " on maneuvers " to explore. After about 10 pm she goes quite mental and charges around jumping on sofas, table, fire surround ....she is hilarious !

I have discovered that she likes ripping up tissues at night ( also the odd toilet roll ) depending on what she can find. She is eating well and as we expected , really enjoys the poached chicken drumsticks which we are in the process of trying to perfect our recipe .....first lot not enough jelly ,but it still went down the hatch with no complaints ! We bought a water fountain which is on a kitchen worktop ,so I'm not sure if she feels confident to jump up to it so we also give her water in her bowl just until she gets used to things.

We are both amazed at how quickly she is coming out of her shell..... She loves tickles in her bed but we haven't tried handling her just yet as its still early days. It's fair to say that we are so happy with her and she is helping me come to terms with the untimely loss of charlie...... Put it this way ,I don't think we will have to bring her back ! I hope this has put your mind at rest as we have got a very special kitty and ,hopefully she's got a special home .

Due to my very limited computer skills, I can't attach a piccie at this stage, but I will get some technical assistance with this when Dan comes home from London for Xmas ! Take care Julie and Baz xx

TONKYWAY LUCIEN (Now Axle) dob 9 July 2015

Sorry it's taken a little while to write. Here are some photos of Axle (we decided to stick with the car parts theme after Hubcap, Aerial and Sprocket). He has settled in really well. He was completely unfazed by Sprocket when he first arrived, but her hostility made him a little nervous when confronted with her. It didn't take long for her to realise that he would be an excellent playmate (and that she'd hit jackpot with all the extra food). We gradually let him increase his range and get used to Sprocket and his surroundings (he was fine with the kids from the off - although he's still slightly wary of William (our youngest), who can still be a bit intimidating when he charges around the house). She now coos like a pigeon and calls him when he's not around. They're always chasing each other, playing together, scrapping, or cuddling up together.

We are really pleased with him - he has a lovely temperament, with a great mixture of mischievousness, soppiness, and character. He has a hilarious trait of producing a high pitched squeak if you pick him up whilst he's miaowing. His only bad habit is the chewing of cables - he's already destroyed three pairs of earphones and two mobile phone chargers. Hopefully that will be it now as I think we've managed to stow most of the cables away.

I hope his brothers are doing as well in their new homes.

Thanks for breeding such an excellent kitten.

TONYWAY KOKAB (now Gizmo) dob 6 March 2015

Just wanted to give you an update on the big chunky monkey Gizmo.

Well he's huge, only 6 months old and he is already as big as Marley was, the vet complemented on both of them the other day when i took them for jabs, saying they were very healthy and he comented on Gizmo's beautiful features, hes got spots on the side and 3 stripes going from the middle of his back down to his tail, so he is a very beautiful boy, so big and chunky, so kissable!!! He is very vocal, daily but I talk back to him and he answers, I'm sure we comunicate!!!!

Here are some recent photos of him so you can see you big he's getting. We love them both so much, they are adorable and have made our life complete

Sialaxy Xian Astrina & Sialaxy Loki Seren DOB: 23 May 2015

Loki and Xian are doing very well, they have taken over the house and are as mad as a box of cats! They sleep (Loki lies on his back with legs akimbo), they run, they jump , they get into every nook and cranny including wardrobes, cupboards and their favourite is under the settee's - this is now ok as we thought we had lost them the first time they used this hiding place.
Both now sleep on the bed with us, in fact this started the first night and they get really annoyed if you move and disturb them - we both have had bitten feet. They eat every meal as if it will be their last and they think that every time we go into the kitchen it is feeding time, so greedy but we are pleased they are eating well and growing so quickly.
We have started the harness training and attacking the lead is the flavour of the day but they have accepted wearing them and we will be taking them outside later this week to see how they react. If the weather holds they will be going on their first holiday to the Lake District and I am sure they will meet many new creatures and things to keep them amused.
Playing is their favourite past time and we all have to join in, they have been brilliant with my two year old great niece and they follow her everywhere - possibly because she now prefers their toys to her own.

Julie they are a joy and a privilege to have, I do not use the word own as I believe they are the owners Les and I are just there to pander to their needs.

Tonkyway Polarice (now Charlie) & Tonkyway Boreas (now Ralph) DOB: 9 Nov 2014

An update on our beautiful boys, now Ralph and Charlie. They have really settled into life in Stafford, they run around the house like thunderbolts and have discovered the art of chasing flies. Charlie has a regal look about him, but don't be fooled he is also known as the ham snatcher. Ralph loves to show off in front of guests, never a dull moment. He also likes to comb my hair ! They both love to play fetch with their favourite mice, quite often ending up in the kitchen sink or the stuffing out of them.

Last week they both visited the Vets , and what a weight when both in the carrier. Turns out they are both about 4.2kg each ! They have both been snipped. We were rather expecting them to be quiet on return, but no chance it was life as normal and straight to their feeding bowls, to the tune of the humming bird chorus both in sync.

I must say Julie you have bred cats with a cast iron constitution. They love a varied diet, of wet food, kibble, chicken wings, eggs, fish etc However they can also have the disposition of alley cats whenever there is other food around. I'm sure there is no food they haven't attempted to eat. Ralph in particular likes frozen peas and cornflakes whilst Charlie has a penchant for ham and butter.

They have both ventured into our garden on leads, just getting used to the great outdoors but no fatalities yet. I am pleased to say they use the scratch poles and litter trays, yet breakages are of common occurrence .

On the whole they are our beautiful, inquisitive boys that give hours of affection .Well done Julie.

SIALAXY SHEDIR (now Jasper) & SIALAXY SUTARA (now Lily)

We took Jasper and Lily home in August 2014 and they've grown into two beautiful, intelligent and playful cats. Lily enjoys giving us a running commentary on everything that she does and is a true explorer. Jasper is definitely the lap cat and will curl up on anyone when he has the chance. He also loves to play fetch (for hours!) with a scrunched up bit of paper and we've had to rescue him from the top of the wardrobe more than once. They've also developed a bit of a fan fan club amongst our friends and family and are always happy to show off in front of guests.

They've both become a big part of the family and settled in very well. Both Jasper and Lily were completely house-trained when we picked them up and they're both very friendly cats. If anyone is considering adopting a Siamese cat, we can't recommend Julie and Sialaxy enough!

SIALAXY SAGITTA dob 1 May 2014

Thought I would send an up-date on Saggita as she has now passed the ten month stage. Well where to start, she is the most gorgeous, funny, intelligent, & beautiful cat, & she knows it. She is also the fastest Cat in the West, you should see her run through our house upstairs & downstairs faster than a bullet. She also speaks English, or as close as a cat can get to speaking, & she never stops talking. She watches all the animal programmes on T.V. I mean sits in front of screen & watches every movement, particularly of birds, she even looks behind the T.V. when they fly off screen. I have never seen a cat do that before. A little while back I noticed paint brushes appearing underneath our rug in the living room & eventually espied Saggita removing them from a plastic packet in my workshop & dragging it through two cat flaps then hiding it under the rug, absolutely amazing !!, she is a thief of the best character.

Still very skittish & jumpy & will hide when door bell goes, but is improving constantly. She's very dubious about going outside on the patio, but I do take her out there. She gives us so much pleasure & is my constant companion; thank you so much.

TONKYWAY BOOTES (now Archie) & TONKYWAY ARIETIS (now Indie) dob 24 Feb 2014

One year on ...
They have definitely settled in now and are the most beautiful cats inside and out. Archie has become a right softy, he loves his cuddles and plays ball with us. Everytime we throw the ball, he chases it and comes straight back with it. Indie is so loving and quite needy and loud lol. She constantly screams at us to play with her, she has so much energy and can jump on top of the doors and wardrobes. She loves playing with the string on a wand and brings it to us every time she wants to play. Which is 24 7.

They both are very much lap cats and love snuggling under the duvet with us when we go to sleep. Indie is so clever and has figuered out to open every door in our house! She quite often lets her self in the kitchen at night, opens the cupboards and helps her self to food!

Both Glenn and I love them so much and think of them as our babies.

SIALAXY SABIK (now Benny) & SIALAXY SOI (now Tayo) dob 1 & 5 May 2014

Well, they arrived, settled in, took over and have stolen our hearts whilst beating us into submission!
Where to start……………
They get on very well together, invariably choose to spend most of their time together, but, both are very individual chaps and are developing their own preferences. They love the office swivel chair and it is often a race as to who gets to it first, one of us or them! We have lots of fun with that. They love to run through the house and are often heard thundering up the stairs dragging some treasure with them.

Tayo - referred to affectionately as ‘bin boy' is sleek in stature and classically handsome. He is loving and affectionate, but on his own terms and does not seek out constant attention, but will grab his opportunity to claim a spare lap. He tends to be more reserved than his brother with new people, but once he has accepted you, you're in. He constantly has his head in a wastepaper bin and we have now accepted that the paper bins in our house are consistently turned over with Tayo to be found searching out the latest choice piece of screwed up paper! He loves to sit bird watching and chattering his teeth . He is bright and inquisitive and a real joy. He has a very loud voice and likes to chat, although has a turn of phrase that makes him sound like he is telling us off! He is a little tricky around food, (more of that later) but is healthy and a lovely boy.

Benny - referred to affectionately as ‘beefy boy,' is one crazy teenager whose specialty is climbing curtains, giving us mini heart attacks balancing in precarious positions - landing banister for example!. Benny would be on your shoulder, on your lap, in your pocket all day if you let him. He is very affectionate at all times and prefers human contact to any other activity. On saying that, he attacks everything with gusto, recklessness and enthusiasm. He loves to play fetch and will keep this going as long as he can get away with it. He still plays with the toy he brought with him. Benny is basically a little piggy around food. He will wolf down a dishful without drawing breath. He is a stocky little thing, nothing sleek about him, with a round face and his kinked tail! But such a character and has no fear - of anything, strangers, hoover, unusual noises, he just wants to be in there checking out everything and everybody. He is quite picky with his food ( more about at later). He is healthy and a real joy.

Anyway, I think this is quite enough of our ramblings, as you can tell, we adore them and have discovered what fun it is to have 2! We must thank you for having bred such healthy and socially well-adjusted kittens, the time and attention you obviously gave them in those early weeks has paid dividends in preparing them for their new life.

TONKYWAY GEMINORUM (now Tilly) dob 30 March 2014

Tilly came to us in the middle of the early summer heat wave this year. We had lost our british blue to heart problems earlier. Our journey home from Bridgwater to Bristol was serenaded all the way. Experience with our previous cat was that it took about 6 weeks for the kitten to fully explore the house introducing each room slowly. Hmmmm, well, Tilly insisted on a full introduction and exploration of every room in the house during the first two hours. When it came to bed that night there was no decision Tilly immediately adopted our bed and has slept there every night since then. To say she is a confident cat is a vast understatement.

Over the following days she filled us with horror as she tightrope walked across the top of doors or wobbled across the stair bannisters. She just loves to sit purring on our laps treating me and my husband very democratically. Walking around the house she loves to ride on our shoulders by leaping up from the floor.......which can comes as a big surprise when your not expecting it. Culturally she loves to watch natural history TV program's, watching a recent David Attenborough program on big cats intently for nearly an hour.

She has a great sense of interior design stripping parts of the wall in the bedroom to give us the message that our style was not to her liking.

She has become a great house cat occasionally going out into the garden when it's not too cold and definitely not when it's raining. She is such a clever cat retrieving a piece of rolled up paper..........a game which can go on for hours!

She is very gentle with our grandchildren who are all under 3 and they are learning how to treat animals gently. We had hoped for an affectionate cat and she has more than met our wildest imagination. Tilly is a much loved cat and everything we had hoped for.

Julie really knows her cats well, she gave us lots of advice on character, feeding, neutering and general looking after all of which we have found invaluable and which we thank her for.

We remember a phrase Julie once said 'little monsters with angel faces' so very true but we wouldn't change her in any way.

ARIETIS (now Indie) & BOOTES (now Archie) dob 25 Feb 2014

Just dropping you a line to let you know how we are getting on with our adorable tonks.

The trip home wasn't too bad, we got to the hotel around 11pm and settled down for the night, leaving early the next day back to guernsey. The tonks were no problem at all on the way home, occasionally the girl ‘Indie' meowed to express her thoughts of the carrier box (she wasn't too impressed) whilst Archie was almost silent the entire journey.

We arrived home at 10:30am saturday morning and opened the carrier box in one of our spare bedrooms which was earlier armed with a few toys. They immediately went and hid under a bed so jo and i left them to it so they could become familiar with their surroundings. Jo and I peered through the window from the outside to see if they had come out from their hideaways and to our delight they were jumping about and chasing each other around the room whilst exploring every nook and cranny of their new home.

Later on in the day, we let the door open to allow them to roam further throughout the house, they were very timid towards us but still friendly acknowledging us with polite and gentle greetings. We left them to it for a couple of hours while they explored the remaining rooms of the house. Upon our return home we were scented and greeted proper cat style with meows and leg rubbing. For the next several hours they were in ‘Play Mode', showing off their acrobatic skills as they chased a toy dangled from a wand - besides the balls, kitten tents, tunnel etc this is by far their favourite toy. Both of them growl like dogs when they catch the toy to deter the other from pinching it from their grasp.

Indie is a very clever cat, she leads Archie most of the time, she is very outgoing and is always the first to find something new to do or play with. She is very gentle towards us and displays her affection to Jo and I very lovingly, she is so sweet and very intelligent. She has a very loud and relaxing purr which we both love. She loves to chase and be chased by Archie around the house at speeds that would high brow a group of Formula 1 racing drivers!

Archie, now here is one adorable little poopoo! He is the quiet shy one. At first he followed his sister everywhere, if he got too far away from her he would meow and Indie would come to his rescue (they do this a lot actually, for instance if one of them finds something and the other is out of sight they call for the other as if to show them what they've found, I'm fascinated by this and it gives me a smile every time it happens). In recent days Archie has come out of his shell and is a bit more independant, he's not soley relying on his sister for entertainment anymore and occasionally he will find something new to do and want to show his sister what it is he's doing. When we came to see them the first time he was a right little scallywag, clawing up legs and scratching but I'm happy to report that he's learning to play gentle with us now, keeping his claws retracted while we tickle him which is good news. He has quickly learnt that toys are for playing with but human hands, flesh and skin is for loving.

We have had no trouble at all with them, they have not soiled the house once, the litter tray i completely second nature to them, in fact they have already started toilet training (we are teaching them to use a real toilet) and this is going well, they are very clean when they do their business which must be down to your good care and upbringing, something Jo and I are very happy about.

They have settled in so well, they have been visited by friends and family members and have welcomed all with open arms (or should i say paws :). They are both so adorable and we love them totally unconditionally, Jo and I can't wait to see them when we come home and when we arrive they greet us and instantly want us to play with them - and being so much fun how can re refuse!

We just wanted to say thank you ever so much for these little darlings, you've done an excellent job with these two happy and charming pussy cats, you are a credit to the Tonkinese breeder fraternity and it has been a pleasure to have met you and your wonderful family. No doubt you will hear from us again at some point in the future.

AMALENDU (Now KoKo) dob 4th Feb 2013

Hello Julie

Here hopefully are the latest pics of Koko for you to see how he has changed. He has been such a joy to have and thank you so much for letting me be his 'mum'. He gets up to all sorts of mischief daily, the latest getting into the airing cupboard. Launching himself with a yowl ( no other word for it) up on to the top cupboard in the kitchen. As there isn't much room for him his ears are touching the ceiling, he starts to wail 'cos he wants to come down.

Also his latest pastime is playing with any piece of paper preferably folded over a few times which he pats with a paw under a door and he goes behind the door and pushes it back. This can go on for about 5 mins then he brings it to me and I can spend the following half hour throwing it for him which he catches it in both paws and we start again.

He sits on command, which is useful if I have to answer the front door so I have time to shut the lounge door to stop him charging straight out to meet whoever it is. He always follows any visitors up the hall and stops when they turn round to say goodbye Which really looks so comical.

Feel free to add this to your list of happy owners. Many thanks once again for him..

Love from both of usXX

TONKYWAY ARRAKIS dob 31 Jan 2014

To my breeder mummy:

I am settling into my new home very well; my new mummy and daddy are very nice and had lots of toys ready for me to play with. I was a little bit scared when I first arrived, as there were lots of strange smells and even a new big brother, so I did lots of hiding, and have now become the Hide and Seek Champion (I managed to hide for half an hour while mummy was looking for me!).

On my second day in my new home, I felt a bit better, so I did lots of exploring and have been upstairs and got to know my brother a bit better. I wasn't sure he was going to like me, but he was more scared of me than I was of him! I found my new toilet very easily, and have been eating well. Last night I slept on mummy and daddy's bed and curled up with my brother, and all day today we have been chasing each other around the house and playing together with our toys.

I still miss my kitty mummy and my sister and you, but I think I will be ok here, I have sent you some photos of me and my new brother, Hunter.

Lots of love,

Arrakis

Calypso (now Marmite) & Telesto (now Mushroom) dob: 20 Aug 2013

Calypso (Marmite) and Telesto (Mushroom) are doing really well, they have grown a lot in the last couple of months and have been enjoying the garden with us when the weather has been nice. Marmite is very keen on chasing flies and watching the birds and Mushroom just likes galloping around the garden chasing her! They both play fetch. Marmite for some reason has taken a real liking to one of my old gloves (despite having plenty of real cat toys available) and frequently brings it to us to play. Mushroom is very cuddly and loves any new laps that he can find to sleep on. They both sit on command for treats and are just generally a joy to have about!

We wouldn't be without them now. They are popular with all of our family and friends too and frequently get spoiled with treats and toys! They can be naughty though.....we can't leave any toilet rolls or kitchen roll laying about unless we want it shredded! And they love pulling the washing off the airer and towels off the towel rail! I have included a few recent pictures for you!

ALTAIR (dob 8/4/13) & Maia (formally Electra dob 12/10/09)

Happy new year. Hope you had a good festive season and that all is well with you. I thought that I'd send you a photo of Altair. As you can see, he and Maia are now friends. It took a few months, but she got there in the end! He is thriving and full of beans, and I think that he's going to be a big lad. He's got really long legs and he's already bigger than Maia. He's full of mischief as well as a real cuddle monster and everyone loves him.

AZHA & ALYA dob 3/6/13

As you can see China has totally accepted the kittens, she washes them and all three share everything including a food bowl. I am so pleased that China is no longer lonely on the days that the dogs and I go to work. She plays with them, tearing around the house! The kittens aren't scared of the dogs and regularly steal their food! Azha has really come out of his shell and is really faithful, he'll always be with me (when awake that is) whichever room I'm in and even comes upstairs in the morning to wake me up (maybe because he wants breakfast!). Alya has grown sufficiently so I'm going to have her spayed in February half term. They are both still gorgeous and have fitted into our family beautifully, often in the evening I will be sitting on the sofa with two dogs and all three kitties (Alya likes to sit/sleep on my shoulders like a parrot!). Thanks again for letting me have them, hope all is well with you,

Albiorix (now Jerry) & Hati (now Margot), dob 20/08/13

Just thought you might like an update on Margot and Jerry's progress. They had their operations last Wednesday and recovered very quickly. Margot swiftly got rid of her collar and then worked steadily to unpick her stitches. We are keeping our fingers crossed that she is healing well enough without them - the vet thought so, anyway. Jerry didn't notice a thing about his procedure.

They are fabulous, hugely active, and are now sitting on our laps to watch telly, which they love. Margot is very small compared to Jerry, but is even more active, if anything, and I know that her mum Helene is small too.

They are much admired and seem to have settled in well. Next step, the wide blue yonder!

Thanks again for allowing us to have Calypso and Telesto. They settled in fairly quickly and have made themselves right at home. Me and Dan often find ourselves pushed to one side of the bed as they hog all the room! They are very playful, inquisitive, talkative and mischievous and there's never a dull moment with them! We love them and couldn't be more pleased.

SIALAXY BELLATRIX (now La Bella Bella) - dob 3 January 2012

thought I'd bring you up to date with la bella Bella. She has changed the game here; my husband who was OK with the cats is pinioned beneath the paw. He cannot believe how intelligent she is which is his way of saying that she runs rings round him. She is pretty amazing , though. The favourite games are played with us, in both senses of "with". She races Jeff to his chair when he heads for it, leaning back and shrieking abuse at him when he gets there. If he's silly enough to raise his bottom 6 inches from the seat she's under him, she's skidding across the floor to get there. With me she retrieves, dropping the rolled up cling film, silver paper or whatever the current favourite is, into my lap so I can throw it. One night we did it for a solid hour, and I don't exagerate. And she's got lots of other weezes.

She gets on very well with Psipsina, who behaves like a two year old with her. She's always been a shrinking violet so it is lovely to see the two of them thundering around the house and garden together, with the usual wrestling matches leaving a trail of long black fur on the carpet.

I've attached some of today's photos for you. As you can see, she is an adored favourite subject. She still takes my breath away every day with her beauty.

SIRIUS (Siri) and Rastaban (now Percy) born April 2013

Everything is fine here. The kittens are doing really well. The are both big boys now, happy, healthy and full of beans. We cannot leave them unsupervised with the Christmas tree - they wreck it in next to no time, as you can imagine!

I've attached some photos for you to have a look at. There is one with Siri ontop of the door - he is after a tiny spider! Siri is still boss cat, although Percy can put up quite a fight too! Steve has managed to fence the garden off really well (only one escape via the apple tree so far - quickly retrieved!). They do spend a lot of time inside (don't think the weather encourages them outside much at the moment!).

They are both very big personalities in the house - regularly get ticked off for being destructive too! Siri is at his happiest when sharing a bed with the kids. Percy just likes getting into everything at every opportunity.

Tonkyway Caleano - dob 25 April 2013

Thought you may like to see what a beautiful boy Otto (Calaeno) has grown into as he approaches 8 months old. He really is a lovely affectionate, cuddly boy and likes nothing more than hanging around my neck with his front legs draped one side and his back legs the other. He has got a wonderful personality and is full of character, he gets on well with the dog but regularly reminds him that he is boss. After I lost my last Tonk after 15 years I couldn't imagine finding another cat that was as lovely as him. Otto is completely different, he is actually more cuddly but has quite an assertive streak and has been very successful at making himself centre of attention.

Just to let you know that Lunette is doing very well. She settled in her new home. She is very lovely and easy girl. She likes cuddling and enjoying our love. She is the best in the world for us. We just would like to say you thank you for giving us chance to have such a nice kitten... She is very good with her toilet and scratching post . There are a few her favourite places for sleeping around house. But she chooses to sleep with us in bedroom at nights. We do not have any problem with feeding her. She did not eat too much for the first couple days in new house but now her appetite is very good. Thank you Julie for our baby.. We wish you all the best in breeding ... A lot of success ... They are eating well and take great delight in pinching China's food too. They no longer hide when I am about and they have had lots of visitors and cuddles so getting better with strangers too! DARA (renamed Kenso dob 4/11/2012) & sister Mazu (renamed Coco)

I've attached a few snaps. Both are fine and continually keep us amused with their antics, none of which we manage to catch on film! like every cat, they know when you're attempting to take a photo and slope off as fast a they can!

They basicaly loved the heat although once or twice they got too much sun and I had to draw a blind to cool them off. The rather evil Coco did once try o push her brother out of the window on the first floor but I caught her at it and rescued him - we had hoped a fly screen would keep them safe while the window was open - we don't do that now and will make the next one a lot more sturdy!

Everyone eats well but relations between Tiggy, the cat we inherited from Paul's mum and the Siamese hasn't improved much. They tolerate each other and perhaps that is the best we're going to get!

They are very affectionate and sleep on our bed and spend evenings on our knees. Kenso is the more timid of the pair but he will investigate visitors once his sister Coca has tested the ground. But both of them seem to 'know' the cat people!

We love all three cats to bits though so I think everyone is happy!

Chandra is doing really well and is now named Nimbus. He was neutered at 5 months. He is a terror with soft toys!! He steals quite large ones from my daughter and carries or drags them round the house with him! He also has a dog toy with a squeaker, which he was squeaking for ages in the night!! He gets on really well with the other cats and is really cuddly with us, especially my eldest son - Nimbus likes to curl up across his neck at night!

He is truly a delight, thank you for letting us have him.

Aditaya (now Archie dob 4/11/2012 & Pen-Chan (now Angus dob 4/11/2012)

At last ...here are photos of the boys! Sorry about the delay (again) in sending these. Most of the photos are with the boys sleeping/ resting ...that seems to be the only time you can get a clear shot. Anyway hopefully you can see how lovely they look. The photos taken are from various dates from June onwards ( I lost all early photos in error). You can see they have made themselves very much at home. There are a couple of shots with Rory and Lulu ....it's not hard to see from these how well they have bonded. It is such a relief and pleasure that they all get on so well. Rory definitely became the daddy as far as the boys were concerned, he looked out for them and cared for them almost from the day they arrived.

The boys are doing fine and are indeed big and still growing no doubt. Both boys are solid with well developed muscles. They are both doing really well and have developed strong personalities too. Adi (now called Archie) is a big eater, he is always mewing when you walk into the kitchen (I hasten to add he is fed well on fresh meat and Felix and there is always dry food down). You get lots of cuddles from Archie when he wants food - cupboard love! His confidence has improved enormously, especially in the last 2 months, you may remember he was a little nervous and hand shy. He now loves a good rub and there is a ritual with all four cats where they all congregate on the rug in our bedroom for rubs, cuddles and scenting ...they throw themselves down for a good scrub. This happens morning and night and at any interval they catch you in the bedroom. Pen Chan (Angus) is also doing very well. He is very sporty J He loves playing with the fishing rod (a homemade rod of paper and cling film tied to a length of string and rod suitably shredded by claws and resembling a bird in flight when switched back and forth). He will chase this morning, noon and night and all day if he could, he pesters you to play with him and he will bring the whole thing through the house or onto the bed for you to play with him ...he never tires of it. The others barley get a chance to catch it when he's around. He is very chatty too, you can hold a conversation with him ...he has a squeaky little voice that is just beginning to break.

They both adore Rory and Lulu, you will often find them cuddled up to one or the other. There was a period of suckling which has almost ceased now. They picked this up from Lulu, who I think was weaned too soon and still suckles at 3 yrs. The boys suckled either Rory or Lulu ..either didn't mind at all. They sometimes sleep with us, just depends on whether they have settled elsewhere when we go to bed, although I'll often wake up with one or both draped over my legs. They fly too ...four cats on the rampage at around 10pm is not unusual. It's the mad half hour when they all chase the others tails through the house, bouncing off the arm of your chair spring boarding onto a sofa stool enroute to a sofa on the other side of the room. It still takes you by surprise from time to time.

I've just had a quick peak on your website .....the best breeder website I've come across by the way for showing the kittens and providing useful info. The kitties look adorable as do your adults, they are a credit to you!

With kisses and cuddles from Archie and Angus.

Dione (dob 16/04/2012) & Phoenix (dob 7/6/2012)

Our cats Dione and Phoenix are both over a year old now and have developed their own personalities. Phoenix is the boss! She disappears for a lot of the day but comes home for a nap in the afternoon and is always around at feeding times. Phoenix is the hunter!

Dione likes to be around us and follows us about. They are both very loving and gentle with us and the grandchildren who are fascinated by them. Unfortunately they both like to get into cars so we have to be very careful as Dione got into the Tesco delivery truck, luckily I saw her jump out again.

They both love the dog and sometimes accompany us on our dog walks around the common, following behind and meowing all the way.

DARA (renamed Kenso dob 4/11/2012) & sister Mazu (renamed Coco)

Since you last wrote, we've been attempting to get a photo of both kittens - isn't it hard? They so often look really cute, either seperately or when we haven't got a camera to hand or when the light is very bad. They are often very wicked kittens but the photos are blurred - for example, they treat the clothes dryer as a climbing frame but we just don't manage a cute photo.

I'll try & attach a couple of snaps anyway, I have just successfully moved them from phone to notebook pc so I might be able to attach them to this, who knows? But they are much bigger than they were and since Tiggi joined us Kenso really relishes his food . Tiggi is always asking for food & will try & steal anything she can so we have to feed the kittens & stand guard otherwise she'd starve them but Kenso often leaves her a little kitten food deliberately, with a kind of, 'I can't eat anymore, feel free!'

We renamed both kittens, The boy is Kenzo and the girl is Coco - both named after designers We're trying to rename Tiggi, I guess it will have to be Tigger because I think at approximately 7, she's used to her name! Mind you, I think I've always called her Tig They all play together now although they're not exactly the best of friends yet, but the kittens really liked Tig's toys when she arrived - so much better than anything I'd given them of course! Though this afternoon, everyone has been in the kitchen batting a toothbrush around & a pen top. What tremendous fun that was! And now they're all asleep so I took the chance to do this e-mail without the risk of a kitten typing with me.

The kittens now sleep with us - this is something I don't encourage at all but actually don't mind except they like to wake up a bit too early. But it was their choice to sleep on the bed and they do have the freedom of the house

I have to admit I am completely besotted with them! They are such characters! Kenzo is not such a bold character as his sister, she is always the first one to attempt some new task but she does like to know he is behind her for security - although they sometimes play very rough indeed. Although he hasn't said, I think Paul is as besotted as me - we do get so much pleasure from watching them tearing around the house, Coco is by far the best footballer of the two. Most evenings we have a kitten each on our laps. They like being brushed too. I know they are teething because I have found one tiny tooth so far and Coco really does like to chew my fingers, a habit I hope she loses!

They are both extremely confident kittens, as they are getting a little more mature, Kenzo already has a slightly darker coat than his sister now I'll attempt to attach a few bad photos!

Please feel free to put anything I've said on your website Julie, because I'd recommend you to anyone I knew who wanted to buy a kitten. I am delighted with my two!

Titan (now Odin) 2013 First Birthday

As Odin (Titan)is 1 on Tuesday I thought it would be only appropriate to get in touch.

Odin is still a delight. He is spoilt rotten and is loved by everyone who meets him. He is affectionate to everyone who visits but especially ladies who seem to get the most cuddles and purrs.

He eats us out of house and home and is constantly up to mischief but I can't imagine life without my special boy.

He is still very much best friends with our labrador, Loki who he is able to outwit and takes great delight in doing so.

Rah (Ara)

Rah (Ara) is a joy, so friendly and it's a pleasure to be his people. He can hunt in acres of fields and woodland and has become very successful. He sees other dogs off but is great friends with our two dogs. He accepted our new lurcher puppy Layla and amazingly enjoys playing with her. He races round the garden and escapes up trees and into giddy holes. He has been educating her!

He follows us into the field.

Rah as he has become known is a magic cat. Great hunter who will catch large rabbits, mice and squirrels (and a few birds) but he prefers to eat his catch and hides it from the puppy. Surprisingly he'll eat all of any rabbits he catches, just leaves a stain on the floor. Layla can scent his kill and is on the case but usually very little left, just a satisfied cat!

Rah is so confident that he has been exploring neighbours houses through cat flaps like a burglar in the night. All is forgiven and neighbours cat flaps now locked at night.

Tilly (Lyncis) is doing great she had her op on Friday and it didn't seem to faze her at all, we were desperately trying to stop her running and jumping as much as she was wanting to. LARISSA (now Crystal) & HALIMEDE (now Chaos)

They are thundering around the house like a herd of elephants. They have all joined forces: dog and the cats. The cats kept taking over poor little Amy's bed and she just looked embarrassed and hovered around until she was brave enough to sit on both the cats - who purred at her.

The boy has got so brave and relaxed. Definitely reversed roles: he couldn't be more confident - very calm. She is purry and sweet as well, it is just that she started off the braver of the two. I love them so much. They make me laugh all the time and encourage me to sit down and relax a lot more with both of them in my arms. They are great with the children. Thanks so much.

Tsukiko (renamed Mia)

The first time we met Julie we were impressed by the amount of love and dedication that was given to all of the cats. It was refreshing to see all the girls living in different areas of the house instead of being penned up; they really are part of the family. The kittens we saw were the most adorable delicate little things and we wanted to take them all home!

Mia is one of Xing's beautiful babies and has adopted her joy for playing fetch! We couldn't of asked for a better cat! Mia is very loving, affectionate and inquisitive. In the morning if I don't move quick enough I am greeted with licks on the face and encouraging pawing on my neck and hands as she demands strokes! We have lots of chats with her lovely deep miaow and little snorty noises. Mia is both energetically playful and a chilled out teddy bear that will lay on her back on your lap. A joy to have in the house and beautiful to look at!

We brought home a Serengeti kitten 2 months later and Mia warmed to him after only a week; now they are best of friends and follow each other everywhere!

A siamese was the perfect choice for us and I would definetly recommend a kitten from Julie and especially Xing. Well done and Thank you!!

Tink now loves her little brother and keeps him in his place by giving him a wash when he is annoying her ! Thanks again Julie for your help and support.

Xing's Kitten - Bella

"Bomb proof" is not a word usually used to describe kittens but that perfectly describes Bella (Sialaxy Bellatrix). At five months old today, she bounced up to two unknown, loud, six foot plus men accompanied by a noisy, erratically moving seven year old boy and demanded their admiration and cuddles. Her con?dence and self worth speaks of the superb start in life that Julie has given her.

Looking for a breeder through the internet, I was initially impressed by Julie's interest in me as a prospective suitable home for one of her kittens; I had been shocked that another breeder's sole concem seemed to be my ability to pay her selling price. My favourable impression was reinforced on arriving at Julie's house to find a true cat lover's home where feline well being and contentment was the organising principle.

Bella's outgoing nature has brought us the greatest pleasure; her beauty staggers me a dozen times a day and watching her playing and enjoying the garden is a constant pleasure. She showers us with love, distributing it equitably between us and with her moggie elder. Bella is also extremely bright and a future of manipulation through the velvet paw stretches before us.

Julie has bred and brought through babyhood a healthy, happy, loving and open-minded youngster. I can not recommend her too highly.

She is well known in the neighbourhood now as well!

It is hard to believe that it is a year next month that we got her from you, the time has flown but her character is still growing.

Izar and Shiko

Here are pictures of Izar and Shiko. They are gorgeous cats and still very naughty kittens in fact, despite being 18 months old now. Izar talks a lot and has made many friends in the terrace, he also likes climbing everything. Shiko is a real lap cat and gives lovely cuddles and kisses. They play and learn new tricks all the time, that includes opening all doors and cupboards in the house, they bring us the toys that they want to play with and let us know when it's dinner time: so no problem there!!

I hope you enjoy the pictures,

Maia's Kittens (2011 litter)

I fully intended buying just one little kitten from Julie.... I ended up coming home with three !! We have re-named them Willow (Pussy willow - Female) - Tink (Tinkerbell - Female - Blue eyes) and Terra.(Male). Willow lives with my brother Dave but visits weekly for a play with her brother and sister. We are all smitten with them and have already spent a fortune on them !! Thank you Julie for all of those information sheets which have been invaluable and also answering my endless questions !! Since arriving home the kittens settled in immediately and are so affectionate - they love a good cuddle!

No problems with them scratching furniture (although I must admit I have spent a fortune on toys and scratching posts and things to keep them amused) They are getting more vocal now and Tink has a lovely singing voice ! We wouldn't be without them ..... thank you so much. I will continue to send photos of them. Regards Sue, Rich, Ella and Mia

Venus Kitten "Kuma"

Just to keep your up to date with the delinquent child. He has settled in extremely well, everything including out legs and heads are scratching posts to him and when he can't quite see what is going on he climbs the nearest person to get to the height he needs. He has made friends with Minstrel our brown Burmese and they play fight until Minstrel is worn out, he hasn't quite worked out that Rolo finds him a pest and doesn't want to play. She tolerates him but only because she can eat the kitten food he leaves!

Minstrel goes outside and Kuma is desperate to join him, he watches the birds and we have just started getting flies in the house so these are great fun for him. He has grown massively and now hangs off the door handles trying to open them, we will soon have problems keeping him in a room during the day where we can guarantee that my father in law won't let him out when he goes out. Father in law is slow moving and would not be quick enough to stop Kuma.

He is wonderful and we have had a number of conversations about whether we should have had one of his brothers or sisters too as Minstrel and Rolo get very worn out by him. He now sleeps until 6am and is curled up with either Peter or I depending on where minstrel is. He is a great addition to our family and despite the wrecked furniture and millions of small scratches we have, we love him to bits.

ISARO - renamed Oscar

Oscar (Isaro) has settled in incredibly well and did so very quickly. He settled in almost immediately and is very loved by everyone, and we are delighted that he has formed such a close bond with our daughter. They seem to play together happily for hours on end and have become inseparable. We would like to thank you for providing us with a very special addition to our family

Amber - renamed "Coco"

From the moment we met Coco as a tiny two-month-old kitten, she was super bold and extremely friendly. She adores the children, including our rampaging three-year-old and has already conquered the affections of our two very large dogs, Luca and Mitzy. Initially, our Norwegian Forrest Cat, Geri, found her very annoying as she insisted on burrowing into his duvet-like tummy and kneading. However, he now appears to take great pride in his paternal duties and they are often entwined in a loving embrace. She has been very helpful in bringing our very timid Siamese, Harry, out of his shell and he is now learning to give as good as he gets on the play-fighting front. The relationships between the cats, the cats and the dogs and the cats and the family are all extremely harmonious and we couldn't have wished for a better outcome.

Star

We have had Star as he is called, posh name Tonkyway Skys Star for three years in September and what a fantastic 3years we have had, he is a loving boy and loves his cuddles as well as being so playful, adores the garden where he can chase flies bees and the frogs from the pond, which he finds great fun making them hop and wondering why they dive into the pond and disappear, many a wet paw! Julie gives them a wonderful start in life and it is obvious when you see the way they are brought up for those first few weeks that she is dedicated to their welfare which comes through in the lovely nature of the cats. Star has given us some tense moments too mostly because of his inquisitive ways like the time he decided to eat one of my pop socks which got twisted in his stomach and he ended up having major surgery for, but thanks to our vet came through ok, guess who is very careful what is left around now!! Thanks to Julie for allowing us to be the proud adoptive parents of such a beautiful cat and we haven't regretted a moment, we hope Tonkyway goes from strength to strength.

Electra - but we call her Maia (confusing, as her litter sister was called Maia!)

We collected Electra/Maia in January 2010 and she's fitted in with us perfectly. I was a bit concerned whether our big ginger and white moggy, Tigger, would accept her, as he is known for being a grumpy so and so - but I needn't have worried. They are the best of friends, snuggling together, washing each other and playing chase and wrestling games. Tigger has never once shown any aggression to her at all - unlike with some of us humans!

Electra/Maia is a complete character. She's full of energy, loves everyone and makes us laugh. She runs around like a greyhound and talks to us about everything she is doing. Tigger and Maia are both good hunters, spending summer days out in the fields and bringing all sorts of gifts home. I'm quite good now at rescuing the live voles that Electra/Maia likes to surprise us with! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending anyone to have a Tonkinese, as they seem to be perfect additions to family households - loving lots of company and attention. I would also recommend Julie and her kittens, as they are obviously well-bred, well-cared for and well-prepared for their future homes.

Brightstar - renamed "Betty Boo"

We adopted Betty from Julie earlier this year, and haven't regretted our decision for a single moment. It was a real treat for our three daughters and myself to visit Julie and her lovely brood of cats in Somerset. We were able to see for ourselves that her kittens were lavished with love and affection, in an indoor environment, in order to prepare them for their role as the perfect domestic companion! Betty has gone from strength to strength.

Now seven months old, she is a serene and affectionate cat, never pushy but always there if you need her. She is great with our other cats, being a very bossy older sister to our little Bengal kitten Zinzan, and a tolerant but firm presence with our grumpy old moggy Rocky. She likes to sleep with us and is a happy little soul, always approaching new people and situations with confidence and curiosity. We would highly recommend Julie - she is everything you would want from a breeder.
